Inaugurato nel 2000, è ospitato all'interno di un'antica abitazione del centro storico. Nella sezione archeologica il criterio espositivo segue uno sviluppo cronologico e presenta le principali testimonianze antiche del territorio, dall'età preistorica fino al Rinascimento. La sezione contemporanea ripropone gli eventi del 1944 attraverso oggetti, immagini e documenti, non solo relativamente alle vicende storiche legate alla seconda guerra mondiale, ma anche ai momenti della vita quotidiana. La casa-museo è anche sede della Biblioteca e dell'Archivio degli scrittori del Montefeltro. A materiali ascrivibili al Paleolitico Superiore, al Neolitico e alle età del Bronzo e del Ferro, seguono i reperti di epoca classica, rappresentata principalmente dalla ricostruzione della parte centrale della necropoli romana di Pescaia con alcuni corredi funerari restaurati e la relativa suppellettile: incensieri, olle, bacili, lucerne, piatti, coppette e ciotole in ceramica comune e verniciata, compresi tra la seconda metà del II e la prima metà del III sec. d.C. Dalle abitazioni rurali della Valle del Senatello proviene invece una ricca selezione di monete e materiali ceramici databili dal III secolo d.C. alla tarda romanità.
Il percorso prosegue con materiali appartenenti alla fase medievale della valle tra XI e XIV secolo, per concludersi con le grandi mappe del territorio di Casteldelci, disegnate da Paolo Belli nel 1793. La sezione di storia contemporanea costituisce un percorso della memoria legato all'eccidio di Fragheto e delle altre località colpite dalle stragi nazi-fasciste tra aprile e fine luglio 1944.
Inaugurated in 2000, it is located in an old house in the old town centre. In the archaeological section the exhibition develops chronologically, presenting the main old testimonies of the territory, from prehistoric times to the Renaissance. The contemporary section proposes the events of 1944 through objects, images and documents, referring not only to the historic events linked to World War II, but also to moments of daily life. The house museum is also the headquarters of the Library and the Archive of writers of Montefeltro. Items dating back to the Upper Palaeolithic, the Neolithic and the Bronze and Iron Ages are followed by exhibits from the classical period, represented mainly by the reconstruction of the central part of the Roman necropolis of Pescaia with some restored grave goods and the respective accessories: incense burners, pots, basins, lamps, plates, cups and bowls in plain and varnished ceramics, dated between the second half of the 2nd and the first half of the 3rd century AD. Instead, a rich selection of coins and ceramic materials dated from the 3rd century AD to the late Roman period comes from rural homes in the Senatello Valley.
The exhibition continues with material from the valley in the Middle Ages, between the 11th and the 14th century, and concludes with the large maps of the territory of Casteldelci, drawn by Paolo Belli in 1793. The section on contemporary history follows the thread of memory linked to the massacre at Fragheto and other locations involved in Nazi-Fascist atrocities between April and the end of July 1944.
