Built by Pier Maria Rossi (1413-1482), the majestic castle of Torrechiara is considered one of the most significant and best preserved monuments in Italy. It has remained intact over time and it is still possible to admire its elegant architecture composed of a defence system, with corner towers and perimeter walls, and structures for residential purposes, characterised by the presence of fine frescoes decorating and enhancing the rooms of the fortress.
Costruito da Pier Maria Rossi (1413-1482), il maestoso castello di Torrechiara è considerato tra i monumenti più significativi e meglio conservati d'Italia. Rimasto intatto nel tempo, è possibile ammirarne oggi l'elegante architettura composta da un impianto difensivo, con torri angolari e mura perimetrali, e da strutture di destinazione residenziale, caratterizzate dalla presenza di raffinati affreschi che decorano ed abbelliscono gli ambienti di questa fortezza.
