Vi si intende ricostruire la storia del bottone dalla fine dell'Ottocento al Novecento, mostrandone l'evoluzione stilistica. La collezione è suddivisa in tre sezioni: La storia del 1900, i materiali e la loro trasformazione; I bottoni del 1700-1800; Le curiosità dal mondo, in cui sono esposti bottoni singolari per materia, decorazione e provenienza. In ultimo, la sezione Appendice offre al visitatore curiosi detti e aneddoti sul bottone e informazioni sui comportamenti di chi li indossava.
The museum intends to illustrate the history of buttons from the end of the 19th to the 20th century, showing their evolution in style. The collection is divided into three sections: 20th century history, materials and their transformation; Buttons of the 18th and 19th century; Curiosities from all over the world, with a display of unusual buttons as regards material, decoration and place of origin. Lastly, the Appendix section offers the visitor curious sayings and anecdotes about buttons and information on the behaviour of the people who wore them.
